The pan-European telematics provider will install its driver performance solution into the fleet of vehicles. GRAHAM Construction anticipates reducing fuel consumption by 2-3 mpg, which equates to a minimum of 5% saving in costs.
The Greener Fleet Solution is able to access data from the vehicle’s CAN (Controlled Area Network) bus that generates more granular data insights into fuel consumption and driver behaviour. Measurables such as vehicle depreciation and cost per mile are now also available, enabling GRAHAM to procure only the most efficient vehicles in the future. The real-time web-based system replaces the need for manual time and mileage sheets – providing much more sophisticated and reliable reporting.
Karl Teggarty, Business Manager, GRAHAM Construction, said: “Working with Masternaut will give us much more detailed reporting, fully automated and configured to our needs. This will allow us to see where the fuel bill is going - by that I mean which vehicles are using the most fuel, and how driving styles contribute to higher fuel consumption.”
“Masternaut was selected as part of a competitive pitch process. We carried out a trial period across a sample set of vehicles and were able to achieve significant savings, so we’re really delighted to be rolling it out across the fleet.”
Martin Hiscox, Chairman and CEO, Masternaut, added: “GRAHAM Construction is really planning to make the most of the functionality that the product offers and the ability to customise reporting to deliver the insights they need from ‘big data’. We will support them with training to ensure that maximum savings are achieved as a result of this implementation.”
