The Fast Track 100 companies increased their sales by an average of 89% a year over three years (compared to 87% on last year’s table), from a total of £504 million to £2.7billion. Their combined operating profits were £206m in 2011/12, and more than half of the companies (59) increased their operating profit margins over the last three years.
Most of the six Scottish companies on the list were in the top half, ranking from position 8 to 56. All were on the list for the first time, joining 59 new entrants to the Fast Track 100.

The six Scottish companies on the Fast Track list are from the central belt, apart from BrewDog which comes from Aberdeenshire. The six Scottish companies include two manufacturers, two retailers plus two service industry companies: consumer electronics recycler, Redeem and generator supplier & installer, Dieselec Thistle.
