Colle Farmers Market offers support following an article published by Southwest Michigan’s Second Wave which discusses the success of Bridgett Blough, aka “the Organic Gypsy”, and her organic food truck.

On December 5, Colle Farmers Market commends an article published by Southwest Michigan’s Second Wave which highlights the work of Bridgett Blough, otherwise known as the Organic Gypsy, who has been delivering organic food across Michigan, spreading healthy living and good food to the organic community.

According to Southwest Michigan’s Second Wave, “[Bough] sold food from her blue truck at the People's Food Co-op's 100 Mile Market, catered events for Kalamazoo College Homecoming, and could be found downtown across from city hall on certain days.” Southwest Michigan’s Second Wave reported that “in June, [Bough] traveled to the four-day Electric Forest Festival (formerly known as Rothbury), where offering the only organic food on the property proved to be a big draw.”

“Every day I got busier and busier,” comments Bough, 2008 graduate of Kalamazoo College and member of the National Restaurant Association. “People were tweeting that I had the best ice cream. It's not your typical festival food. It's a different niche.”

Serving amongst other food vendors at local fairs and venues, the public’s response has been overwhelmingly positive. Southwest Michigan’s Second Wave quoted those buying her food saying, "It's so nice to have healthy food."

Despite the changing seasons and availability of products from local farmers Bough’s menu remains selective according to Southwest Michigan’s Second Wave
“I try a recipe, cost it out and put it on the menu. It is more difficult than getting it from big food distributors but it is worth it to me,” comments Bough.

Colle Farmers Market recognizes Bough as a pioneer in the organic food industry. Colle encourages all organic foodies to and adopt a healthy organic lifestyle. The organic community is glad to have Bough as a member and wishes her luck in her campaign to bring healthy and tasty organic food to local communities.
