Students Ring in the New Year more Prepared than Ever with New Services from University Prep Center

University Prep Center has been helping students prepare for college since 2006, and starting in 2013 they will be offering a new service that allows parents to monitor their student’s progress.

The staff and Educators at University Prep Center (UPC) know that students have a tough road ahead of them if they want to go to a university these days. Admissions are competitive, tuition is expensive, and studies show that high schools consistently fail to prepare students for college level classes. The UPC software has interactive learning systems, scholarship resources and professional educators who are available through every phase of the process, helping college become a reality for thousands of students a year.

Starting in 2013, in addition to all of these services, UPC will be introducing a way for parents and guardians to become more involved called Parent Portal. This will allow parents to monitor their student’s progress as they work through the software, and they will have the ability to suggest classes for their children or themselves. Parent Portal makes it possible for parents to have their own unique log in credentials and landing page. From there, they will be able to see profiles for the students that they have using the software and their progression through classes and programs. The scholarship guide will also be available and parents can send scholarship applications to their student.

“We believe that by providing this information and accessibility specifically for parents and guardians, students will be able to get the most out of our software and the services we provide at University Prep Center. Parents can do so much to ensure that their students are successful just by getting involved, and we want to make that as easy as possible,” said David Graves, a spokesperson for UPC.

Aside from just listing the scholarships that other institutions offer, UPC is proud to be offering their own merit based awards to deserving students. They also provide more helpful and general information for students who are wondering about the college admissions process and the SAT or ACT. Students and parents can think of UPC as their own personal, in home tutor, full of knowledge and invested in the students future.

About University Prep Center (UPC)
The mission statement at UPC is to ensure that each college-bound student is afforded every opportunity possible to excel scholastically through state-of-the-art interactive learning programs and professional educators dedicated to student’s success. Through the scholarship guide available with the software, most students find that they make back the money spent on the UPC software just by applying for scholarships they would never have found otherwise. It gives students access to over 4,000 colleges nationwide and offers them the best chance to find funding other than loans, which can be burdensome and more expensive in the long run. UPC has taken the guesswork out of student’s journeys through the college and scholarship process, providing a solid base for a successful future.
