The pioneer in digital media licensing reaches a milestone in payouts to its clients

ChiWay Entertainment is pleased to announce that it has officially paid out more than $1,000,000 in licensing royalties to its clients.

Nearly three years after its inception, the company that claims to “help reward viral video creators” has made good on its mission, eclipsing the $1,000,000 mark.

The milestone was reached in early November when a handful of ChiWay Entertainment-represented video clips aired on Bloopers, the syndicated clip show that airs nationwide on affiliate stations of Fox, WGN, and other major networks.

“It’s something that we’re extremely proud of,” said ChiWay Entertainment’s founder Jonathan Skogmo, of the benchmark. “Our entire goal is to maximize our clients’ revenue on their videos, and this accomplishment certainly speaks to us achieving those goals.”

The company has built and sustained its business by placing viral-style video clips in TV shows and other media, and paying original video owners each time their video is licensed.

In recent months ChiWay Entertainment has been branching out to new avenues for monetizing its clients’ video clips, from licensing videos in the advertising space to online monetization.

Servicing thousands of clients and their videos, the company has begun automating the licensing process with its video platform The platform makes it easier than ever for video owners to upload their clips and, ultimately, to license those clips to media companies.

“Hitting the $1,000,000 goal is fantastic, but we feel that this is just the beginning,” said Skogmo.
