Harveys Furniture has recently re-launched their blog and have gone live with a host of new content.
The articles have been written by an array of influential and respected journalists with a background in interior design and home styling, making the content authoritative but diverse as all of the journalists have quite different styles.
The idea behind the blog is that Harveys want to provide not only their customers with useful advice on buying and caring for their furniture, but to become an authority in home style so that anyone needing advice can find something useful and inspiring.
The blog has been split into three main sections which are:
- Buying Guides
- Care Guides
- Style Guides
The Buying Guides cover not only furniture which can be bought from Harveys, but delve deeper into materials (such as choosing a sofa fabric) space (furniture to make the most of small spaces) and home furnishing accessories.
Care Guides give useful tips on both cleaning & maintaining furniture as well as restoration techniques for wood, glass and upholstery. Most people will have (or will at some point get) either a scratched table, ripped or stained sofa etc. so this advice is really useful.
The Style Guides section covers everything from colour schemes & vintage styling advice to DIY festive decorations. Pinterest has been utilised heavily, collating some of the best images from across the web to help give blog readers inspiration.
The blog was launched in late November, just ahead of Harveys Advent Calendar promotion which gives their Facebook fans daily deals up until and including Christmas Day. By ‘liking’ Harveys Facebook page you will be able to access the advent calendar, look at the deal for the current day and redeem the vouchers both online and in-store.
The advent calendar illustrates Harveys newest sponsorship: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
