Madison, Wisc. (PRWEB) December 04, 2012
Shine United is pleased to announce the promotions of Jim Jelak to Account Director and John Krull to Creative Director. Founded in 2001, Shine United is a 40-person full-service advertising agency based in Madison, Wisconsin, serving both local and national consumer brands such as Amazon.com, Harley-Davidson, Wisconsin Cheese, UW Health and Winston Fly Rods.
“The promotions of both Jim and John couldn’t be more well-deserved,” says Curt Hanke, founder and executive account director at Shine United. “Both individuals possess a strong work ethic and are true agents of change within our agency — who have stepped up to the plate as Shine continues to grow.”
As account director, Jelak will be tasked with overall leadership and direction of Shine’s account service team, as well as marketing and brand planning efforts. During his time at Shine, Jelak has worked on brands such as Wisconsin Cheese and Glanbia Nutritionals.
Prior to joining Shine in 2011, Jelak honed his brand leadership acumen at agencies such as Jacobson Rost and Eichenbaum and Associates, creating successful campaigns for a variety of consumer brands such as Patrick Cudahy, Carl Buddig & Company, and Kalahari Resorts.
As creative director, Krull brings both leadership and an impeccable work ethic to the table. Inspired and motivated by creating great work each and every day, John’s award-winning creative has populated the pages of AdWeek, One Show, Communication Arts, Archive, FWA, Print, How, and The New York Times.
At Shine, Krull has worked on prominent brands such as Harley-Davidson, Mizuno USA, Wisconsin Cheese, Discover Card, and Kohler. Prior to Shine, Krull lent his art and design expertise to the Meyocks Group and Campbell LaCoste — helping to build many famous retail and outdoor brands along the way, including Wal-Mart, Hy-Vee, Bushnell Performance Optics, and Remington Firearms.
“In a word – proven,” says Mike Kriefski, founder and executive creative director at Shine United. “Throughout their respective careers, Jim and John have proven their ability to build their client’s brands through smart thinking and bold creative. We’re truly thrilled to announce their promotions and look forward to what their leadership means for the future of Shine.”
