The point is when football is turned into a social event, as Xuma recommends in his dating tips for men, it can be something that doesn't exclude women who aren't fans; instead, it includes them and gives them something to look forward to.

For some guys, this time of year is all about football and nothing else. That’s all fine and good - unless the girl in a guy’s life gets the short end of the stick, says Dating Expert Carlos Xuma in his new report.
“Most guys who are into football dream of dating a girl who gets into it just as much as they do, but the reality is that doesn’t always happen,” Xuma says in the report on dating advice for men. “The reality is football season can take up a significant amount of a guy’s life in the fall. It can mean sitting in front of the TV on Saturdays watching college ball and then Sundays spent watching the NFL. That doesn’t even count Monday night games.”
In the report on dating tips for men, Xuma reminds that smart guys will make sure women fit into this schedule.
“Otherwise, a guy will turn around and months have passed without prime time being spent with a girl,” Xuma says. “But it doesn’t have to be that way. There are many ways to make football season fun for women who might not be football fans and that means they are included in the excitement and will want to be around the guys who are football fans.”
Some ideas that Xuma shares in his new report on dating advice for men include hosting weekly football parties for friends.
“The guy who does this can provide food or arrange a potluck and then ask his buddies to come over and bring their female friends or girlfriends,” Xuma says. “That way the women who aren’t fans can talk and hang out doing something else. Maybe they will want to gather in the kitchen and play games or watch movies on another TV sit or just have cocktails.”
The point is that when football is turned into a social event, Xuma says, it can be something that doesn’t exclude women who aren’t fans; instead, it includes them and gives them something to look forward to as well.
“And then, who knows, maybe eventually they will look forward to football season, too,” Xuma says. “Or maybe not, but the point is that dating is about compromise, and disappearing for months on end on Sundays probably isn’t that great for a relationship or even for meeting women.”
