Like many of our past contests, this one was real photo finish but Robert’s creative entry won out in the end and we’re pleased to be able to give him an iPad Mini for his efforts in creating a wonderful video.
Denver, CO (PRWEB) December 05, 2012
Outskirts Press, the fastest growing self-publishing and book marketing company, announced today that H. Robert Ralston is the winner of their recent “Give Thanks” video contest, which started in mid-November. Ralston’s charming video was not only technically impressive, it was also entertaining and, despite stiff competition, became the unanimous first choice among voting viewers on the SelfPublishingNews.com blog.
Ralston, the author of God, Physics, and Me, was presented a Wi-Fi enabled Apple iPad Mini by Outskirts Press after his video received fifty-eight percent of the votes by viewing fans. For much of the contest it was a neck and neck race between Ralston and Melissa Burke, author of Poetry and Short Stories by a Bipolar Girl, whose video received thirty-nine percent of the vote.
“Like many of our past contests, this one was real photo finish,” said Outskirts Press Manager of Author Support Elise L. Connors, “but Robert’s creative entry won out in the end and we’re pleased to be able to give him an iPad Mini for his efforts in creating a wonderful video and soliciting support from his friends and associates. We hope this makes this holiday season a bit brighter for him.”
All Outskirts Press authors were eligible to enter the contest by shooting a 1-3 minute video imaginatively showing what they are thankful for as a published author. Videos were posted on YouTube throughout the month of November and three finalists were chosen for the final vote based on the number of Facebook “Likes” received.
All entrants received a free electronic copy of the book marketing guide written by Outskirts Press CEO, Brent Sampson, Sell Your Book on Amazon.
