Digital Sports Group today announced that The PFA profile for the professional footballer Wayne Rooney has been updated. The PFA player profiles provide a unique and unrivaled insight into a professional footballers career with full career stats, news biographies and features.
Wayne Rooney joined Manchester United as an 18 year old in 2004 from Everton Football Club. Regarded by many as England's best player, Rooney has become a revelation for Manchester United and the England national side. Wayne is currently fourth in the Manchester United goal scoring charts – and will no doubt surpass the record of the great Sir Bobby Charlton.
With the arrival of Robin van Persie, Rooney has been able to show the world his ability to adapt. He has been deployed in a much deeper role to add some much needed creativity to not only the Manchester United midfield, but England too. Since his arrival at Manchester United, the club has gone on to win four Premier League trophies, one Champions League trophy and two League cups. With 78 appearances for England at just the age of 27, Rooney is expected to join the likes of Steven Gerrard in recent players to have amassed 100 appearances for their country. Dubbed a future captain of England and Manchester United respectively – Rooney will no doubt cement his legacy as a Manchester United and England legend.
Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say “Wayne Rooney is a fantastic player and we have been working hard to provide the most fantastic resource that is both enjoyable to use and useful.
