“Day & Zimmermann’s $10,000 donation will enhance the ability of the Living Springs staff to provide the care our servicewomen deserve,” said Alexander J. Hatala, Lourdes Health System president and chief executive officer.
WILLINGBORO, NJ (PRWEB) December 05, 2012
Day & Zimmermann has joined an expanding roster of local businesses helping the Lourdes Health System meet the behavioral health needs of active duty servicewomen. The organization’s contribution to Living Springs at Lourdes will ensure servicewomen suffering the effects of trauma-induced stress disorders receive care in a new dedicated inpatient unit especially designed for active duty servicewomen.
“Day & Zimmermann’s $10,000 donation will enhance the ability of the Living Springs staff to provide the care our servicewomen deserve,” said Alexander J. Hatala, Lourdes Health System president and chief executive officer. “Donations to the Lourdes Health Foundation help underwrite the program’s start-up costs and provide additional therapies and services to extend patient care beyond traditional courses of treatment. These include holistic treatment approaches such as pet and recreation therapy—as well as programs for spouses and families—to help servicewomen return to happy, healthy lives.”
Living Springs at Lourdes is a 21-bed, hospital-based behavioral health program at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County. Living Springs provides treatment for military women suffering from behavioral health conditions including post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, substance abuse and other related trauma.
“As a company that works with the U.S. government and military, Day & Zimmermann understands the need for addressing the physical, emotional and mental health needs of women serving our country,” said Hal Yoh, CEO, Day & Zimmermann. “We’re proud to support Living Springs, the new women’s unit at Lourdes, and the staff whom work every day to continuously improve the well-being of women after traumatic events.”
“Women have special needs and servicewomen face significant challenges,” said Hatala. “These donations help us provide care that is specifically tailored to their needs.”
