The figures in our latest report for Lincoln suggest growth and increasing business confidence as the local economy recovers from the worst effects of the recession.

The latest Duport Business Confidence Report reveals that the July - September period saw Lincoln break several economic records. The city also smashed its own record for new company formations during the third quarter of the year. There were 563 new companies registered during this period - more than any other Q3 on record and a 59% rise on the same period in 2011.
However, the Duport report also contains some less positive statistics for Lincoln. The number of company closures rose to 216 in the third quarter, compared to 120 during the same period last year.
