This sad but amazing story surrounds a young girl named Kiki Bowley, who lost her battle with cancer last month. Kiki’s last wish was to organize a toy drive and donate thousands of gifts to a children’s hospital in Delaware. Unfortunately she didn’t get the chance to do so, but in her honor Millennium Software client, philanthropist and celebrity stylist, Martino Cartier, fulfilled Kiki’s wish this past weekend. Millennium’s Senior Business Solutions Specialist, Ben Macey, heard about the toy drive and told Martino Millennium would be honored to provide much needed boxes to transport all of the donated toys. Thousands of toys were collected and delivered to DuPont Hospital and the toy drive was a huge success.
Martino and his team of volunteers, made up of Kiki’s siblings and best friends, delivered hundreds of boxes filled with iPods, digital cameras, puzzles, books, movies, music and more. Martino said he was compelled to take the lead on fulfilling Kiki’s last wish to help kids like herself who need a Christmas time smile as they battle for their lives.
