The publication revolves around the industries touched by Steve Jobs. Jobs directly influenced or revolutionized seven industries — all of which are examined in the publication. His inventions and innovations changed the face of music, telecommunications, desktop computing and publishing, and tablet computing, among others. Only two other inventors in American history made similar impacts to business, industry, and the lives of consumers: Thomas Edison and Henry Ford.

“I’m always struck by the degree to which people are interested in the story of Apple and Steve Jobs,” said Ken Segall, who headed Apple’s creative advertising campaigns in the 1990s and early 2000s. “Apple is fascinating to people in virtually every industry, because so many people own Apple products, and have followed Steve’s story over the years. Even though I may be speaking to organizations in industries that have absolutely nothing to do with technology, people are always eager to find out more about how Apple works, and how they might be able to adopt some of Apple’s principles in their own organizations. Steve truly is a historic figure.”
