A new Eagle Village fund at the Mecosta County Community Foundation was established with a $10,000 donation by Isabella Bank. An announcement was made with a check presentation at the Match Day in mid-November.
Jerome Schwind of Isabella Bank commented, “True growth happens when a community comes together for a common purpose. Eagle Village is a perfect example of a conduit which helps bring together individuals from their organization and the community who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of our youth. Isabella Bank is proud to partner with Eagle Village on this mission.”
Donations through the Mecosta County Community Foundation enable Eagle Village to continue providing life-changing services to children and families throughout Michigan. These funds support elements like L.E.G.A.C.E. which is an intensive family component and bio-family training through the foster care program. Transportation of families and youth, upgrades to programs and facilities as well as employee training are all areas where foundation donations have a direct impact.
Jim Giroux, an Eagle Village board member who was in attendance at the Mecosta County Community Foundation Match Day this year, commented, “This newly established Foundation partnership is so important to the future of Eagle Village. The Village is on a journey toward sustainable funding and this generous donation by Isabella Bank is the perfect way to kick-start it. The public can now contribute toward that journey by donating through the Mecosta County Community Foundation.”
