Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) December 06, 2012
Baltimore-based interactive marketing agency idfive and the University of Baltimore are excited to announce the launch of a new online platform for the University of Baltimore Magazine. The enhanced design of the new platform and website, found at http://www.ubalt.edu/ubmag, provides an exceptional experience to the magazine’s substantial audience of more than 50,000 alumni and friends of the University.
With ease of use in mind, this website diverges from traditional site architecture by allowing users to view an entire issue’s worth of articles at once on the home page through a cutting-edge masonry structure. In addition, the design permits users to filter various sections of the magazine for a more focused experience. Multimedia WebExtras and archives add to the depth of the site, which incorporates responsive design to offer cross-platform functionality, ensuring the site functions equally well on a desktop computer, smartphone or tablet.
“The playful design and interconnectedness of the content help create a distinctive experience that reflects the uniqueness of UB,” says Andres Zapata, senior vice president for strategy at idfive. “Our goal when designing this site was to create a space where University of Baltimore alumni and friends could connect with each other and with the University, and I think we achieved that objective.”
Gigi Boam, director of UB’s Office of University Relations, adds, “We are so pleased to be able to offer such a fun and engaging way for alumni and friends of the University to stay connected to the UB community. We have no doubt that users of this site will be excited about the quality of interaction and about the imagination that the institution continues to show.”
