Expert Reviewers and Editors from CEAG's TV Buying Guides have written complete size list for LCD and LED TVs 37 inches and larger. The sizes covered were 37 inch, 46 inch, and 60 inch. The LG 37CS560 topped the Best 37 inch TV list. Jack Burden did the review on this one. He said, “The CS560 has good contrast and black levels and color quality is realistic for an LCD TV. You probably wouldn't expect a picture this good in a value priced model. One drawback: Edges are a little soft.” Though this is a value prices model, the side viewing angles are a standout feature. “Side angle viewing isn't a strong point in most LCD televisions but LG has outperformed the competition in this regard. The area in front of the screen where the picture retains it's full contrast and color is wider in the CS560 than in most of its competitors.”
Up next were the Best 46 inch TVs. The Sony KDL-46EX640 came out on the top of this size list. Reviewers called it “a successful TV at its price point. Though we are not overwhelmed by the picture quality of this unit we do like the value of this 46" offering. One thing to know about black levels on this TV is that they appear very inky and deep on the top and bottom bars in a 16:9 format mode but can be a little more washed out on the picture itself. This is also in part to the anti reflective coating on the screen, though we appreciate their depth on the bars which helps add contrast to the entire picture.”
Lastly there is the Best 60 inch TVs list, this one written by Robert Wiley. The Samsung UN60ES8000 edged it way to the top of the list. “3D viewing is awesome with a smooth, vibrant picture void of any problems from past years - no flicker from the glasses, no crosstalk, no blurring etc. All that is very important for a TV of this price point and the top tier model. It's also got that very cool styling and super thin screen depth. We wish Samsung could inlude more than 1 or 2 pair of the active shutter 3D glasses.”
