Greenberg Traurig Attorney Frank G. Long to Serve as Vice President of Arizona State Parks Foundation

International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced today that Frank G. Long, of counsel in the firm’s Phoenix office, has been elected as Vice President of the Arizona State Parks Foundation (ASPF). He was elected by fellow board members and will hold this position through 2013.

ASPF serves as the foremost advocate for Arizona State Parks in government forums and at local community levels, according to its website. Through community outreach, the non-profit cultivates and develops Affiliate Friends groups in communities with nearby state parks. Additionally, ASPF sponsors events to promote visitation of state parks, supports the exceptional state park volunteer programs, and provides the means by which the public can securely contribute financial support to these and other ASPF objectives.

“I am honored to be a part of such an upstanding organization that focuses on the betterment of our natural resources and promotes community involvement,” said Long. “I look forward to the opportunity to contribute new ideas and support ASPF’s cause.”

Long is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property & Technology group and is an active member of the legal and civic community in Phoenix. He advises clients in matters related to trademarks, trade dress, false advertising, copyright, cybersquatting and trade secrets. Long assists clients with the development, administration and strategies for the protection of intellectual property rights and trademarks. He has a wide range of experience in the management of worldwide intellectual property rights as well as transactions involving merchandising and licensing agreements for intellectual property rights and transfers of patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and domain names. He is a member of the Associate Faculty at the Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, where will be teaching the school’s course in “Trademarks and Unfair Competition Law” in the Spring Semester.
