Marlon Wayans promotes his new movie A HAUNTED HOUSE at Studio Movie Grills in Dallas and Houston
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) December 08, 2012
Marlon Wayans appeared the Studio Movie Grill on Royal Lane in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday, December 6 to promote his new film "A Haunted House," which opens to the public January 11, 2013.
Following a VIP Press Screening of the film, Wayans conducted a Q&A with a radio show host from DFW's 97.9 The Beat interviewing him and taking questions from the audience. Wayans spoke about his inspiration to do a "Found Footage" concept film to break free from his previous Scary Movie franchise which he felt had degraded when he relinquished creative control. He also discussed the influence the other Wayans brothers had on the development of his career and his desire to do a film based on the life of comedian Richard Pryor, as well as indulged fans with anecdotes and acting out favorite bits from "A Haunted House" and his standup routines.
Studio Movie Grill strives to break new ground in the dinner-and-a-movie concept bringing patrons first run films, unique special events and community outreach. This weekend, 12/8, SMG's newest location in Duluth, GA will be hosting a charitable event for Toys for Tots at which patrons can have gifts wrapped by Gandalf and the Hobbits, and Sunday, 12/9, will offer a free live showing of the Falcons v. Panthers on the movie screen for fans to enjoy along with a recently revamped menu of freshly prepared food and beverages.
