Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) December 06, 2012
Every year, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA) hosts a holiday workshop for their members. Those who have been accepted into the association can come to this one day workshop in order to learn more about specific practice areas of law and socialize with others in the legal profession. This year, Attorney Audrey Tolson is the co-chair for the affair. Co-chairs have the responsibility to guide and lead a committee of people who will be working under them as they put on an event.
As the co-chair, Attorney Tolson has been busy giving input to the associates who are helping her. She has also been organizing agendas and attending meetings with members of the GTLA. Being a co-chair for a large seminar like this one is a big responsibility, but Attorney Tolson was more than willing to help. She is an active member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and wants to give back to the organization by providing her services for the seminar. The GTLA was founded in 1956 and is dedicated to strengthening the state’s civil justice system. The association aims to protect the rights of Georgia’s citizens and customers.
The GTLA works with attorneys, politicians, and the press to make sure residents are aware of their rights and are always notified of new laws or statutes. One of the ways that they do this is by hosting seminars where attorneys can learn how to best advocate for their clients in a variety of legal situations. Attorney Tolson is a medical malpractice lawyer who has been in the industry for more than 16 years. She is the founder and managing partner of The Tolson Law Firm, LLC where she represents people who suffered from medical malpractice. While she primarily focuses on medical malpractice cases, she also fights for those who have been harmed in trucking accidents, suffered a catastrophic injury, or from a premises liability incident. Additionally, she represents bereft families who have lost their loved ones in a wrongful death incident.
The GTLA Annual Holiday Seminar will take place at the St. Regis Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. The event will kick off with a cocktails and hos d’oeuvres event at The Ivy that is open to all attendees. The next morning, the workshops will begin at 8:00 AM where attendees will receive breakfast and register. As the day ensues, attorneys will have the option to attend a variety of workshop classes in their respective practice areas. For example, the seminar will include a workshop on “The Tone and Tenor of Mediation” and another lecture on how to litigate in cases where there is a “Causation of Injury with a Reasonable Degree of Medical Certainty.” This important event would not be possible without Attorney Tolson’s organization and administration.
