Recently, ICAAE (International Council for the Accreditation of Academic Evaluation) introduced its academic evaluation service at the 20th Shenzhen Exhibition of International Education, and won the favors of many students, who plan to study abroad.
ICAAE answered a lot of common concerns of all the students at the site. According to Edward Devlin, a director of institutional liaison from ICAAE, academic evaluation is relatively new but very important for Chinese students, and it is the process of verifying that the education obtained in one country meets the standards in another country where the students would go to study. As a result, ICAAE caught people’s eyesight
Edward Devlin, said, “Take the USA for example. Over the past few decades, the number of overseas students has continued to grow. It is important for them to provide American universities with information on their academic credentials as their equivalents can be very different when compared to the credentials in the United States education system.”
Every college and tech school has its own policy on how to deal with granting credit for classes taken in foreign schools. Academic evaluation is a complex issue involving various stakeholder groups, and its purpose is to make it possible for individuals to use qualifications from other education systems without losing the real value of these qualifications.
Edward Devlin stressed, “We have much experience in the education industry, and can help overseas students to streamline their study process in other countries. Whether your interest is for academic or professional purposes, we’ve got the tools and information to help.”
