“Now that I look back, I would never want any kid to go through what I did without the coping tools my mother gave me," said Dr. Hope

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) December 07, 2012

Most little boys that are taken away from their mothers and shuttled from foster care to boys homes to other not-so-nice environments might have been miserable and even stressed displaying disruptive, aggressive and violent behavior. Not young Timmy Anders. Because his mother instilled in him an incredible sense of humor along with a positive attitude, always looking for the bright side of life, Tim was always able to turn the harshest of situations into positive ones.

From that came a promise to himself that when he grew up, he would write children’s books to help other kids get a head start in life. Hence the Dr. Hope, J.A.P.D. (The J.A.P.D. stands for “Just A Pretend Doctor) “Life Lessons Series” was conceived. Little did Tim ‘Dr. Hope’ Anders know that his children’s books would go on to win awards and be so warmly embraced by both parents and children alike.

Capturing his great sense of humor and his musicality (Dr. Hope is also an accomplished Jazz musician) he partnered with long time friend and well loved stand up comedian, Russ T. Nailz and together they made accompanying CD’s that not only narrate his books but make the kids get up and dance, teach them good oral care, the importance of eating their veggies, etc. all while having great jazz/rock and roll licks to turn kids on to music at an early age.

“It was my dream as an adolescent to help young kids in need,” said Dr. Hope. “Now that I look back, I would never want any kid to go through what I did without the coping tools my mother gave me. Because I had such a good positive attitude taught to me by my mother, I viewed it as a learning opportunity.” To see Tim ‘Dr Hope’ Anders award winning children’s picture books and take advantage of the 20% off sale, go to: [http://www.childrenspicturebooks.net

Dr. Hope’s mother’s life was not all peaches and cream either. She was a Broadway actress and his father was a Catholic priest. It wasn’t till after his mother died that Dr. Hope decided to write a book based on the true life love story of his parents entitled: “Everybody Calls My Father, Father.” (http://www.everybodycallsmyfatherfather.com)
