Chicago, IL (PRWEB) December 10, 2012

Inc. Magazine has honored PLS as a winner of its inaugural Inc. Hire Power Awards, which recognizes the top 100 job-creating companies in the U.S.

The award winners were announced in the December/January issue of Inc. magazine. The Inc. Hire Power Awards (http://www.inc.com/hire-power/list) recognize private companies that are leading the way in creating American jobs.

PLS is ranked 51st on the list of honorees. The company ranks fifth among Chicago-based companies and third in the financial services industry.

“We’re very gratified to be listed among the companies that are setting the pace nationwide in creating jobs and expanding their workforces,” said Bob Wolfberg, President, PLS. “We’re particularly proud that we’re able to create employment opportunities in neighborhoods and communities that are hardest hit by the economic slowdown.”

PLS (http://www.PLShome.com) is one of America’s most successful and fastest-growing consumer financial services retailers. The reason PLS exists can be simply stated: Why PLS? Because You Deserve Better!® That’s a promise the company makes to customers and to employees.

“PLS stands for ‘People, Location and Service,’” said Wolfberg, “and there’s a reason ‘People’ comes first. We believe our team members deserve better. A better, more rewarding work environment. Better benefits and training. Better career opportunities.

“Our commitment to our team members helps us attract top talent and retain the outstanding employees in whom we’ve invested,” Wolfberg concluded.

Inc. Hire Power Awards honorees were celebrated at a December 6 ceremony and reception at the Mead Center in Washington, D.C., hosted by Inc. editor Eric Schurenberg.
