Calvin Harris promotes his latest album with image recognition technology in his new mobile app dedicated his new album, 18 months. The app allows users to explore his music on their smartphones in new and exciting ways.
The 18 months app plays his music when listeners are on-the-go; dancing, running, or exercising in the gym turns on the tunes and plays the latest hits by Calvin Harris and featured artists including Rihanna, Example, Florence Welch and others.
In addition, the application uses innovative image recognition technology developed by Recognize.im. Users snap a photo of the album cover with their smartphones, cameras, and the 18 months app unlocks an exclusive series of remixes by Calvin Harris.
The image recognition technology was officially launched on November 21, 2012 and is available now on http://www.recognize.im. Image recognition enables the expansion of business offerings for e-commerce, publishers, advertising agencies, and marketing campaigns.
The platform includes offers for partners with large catalogues with products or footage. Large image databases can easily be imported to Recognize.IM, and makes the images recognizable almost immediately after they are added to the service at a rate of over 20 million images scanned and recognizable within 1.1 seconds.
Recognize.IM is developed by iTraff Technology based in the U.S. and Europe. Established in 2010, the company has raised nearly $0.9 million from European investors, and operates in the web and mobile image recognition space with an estimated global market value of $4.27 billion in 2012.
iTraff Technology partners with more than 70 leading publishers and marketing agencies in Central Europe and across the U.S. with partners such as Evernote and Facebook. iTraff Technology has received a number of awards for its implementations, including competitions in the United States, Austria, Finland, Greece, Poland and Belgium (including the prize awarded by the European Commission Commissioner for the Digital Agenda, Neelie Kroes).
