Ross Davis is rejoicing this winter with the release of the single "Snow Angels" that he wrote. While there are countless fine songs out there having a winter theme, whether entailing Christmas or any other special occasion, “Snow Angels” on the other hand is intended as a fresh winter anthem, offering an ode to the winter season with the folksy strum of mandolins (courtesy of the phenomenal multi-instrumentalist from Canada, Annabelle Chvostek), the chiming of piano, and Davis's breathy vocal.

Accompanying the song’s release is an innovative music video that employs stop-motion animation across a chalkboard, including hand-drawn snow crystals and an intricate illustration of a winterscape composed by five kids. Besides contributing to the production of the video, it was an opportunity for the kids to work together while honing their artistic skills. The video’s animation was directed by Keiko Sono of Flick Book Studio. The studio, which is owned and operated by Sono and located just north of New York City, is an open-studio for making and learning stop-motion animation.

After nearly a decade of putting his PhD in sociology to work for the community through teaching and consulting, Davis recently turned to his great love of music. He has performed and composed professionally both as a solo artist and in collaboration with other songwriters and musicians.

In October 2012, Davis released the full-length album Yellow Brick Road via indie label Bean Blossom Productions. Yellow Brick Road comprises seven self-penned songs that include performances by renowned musicians such as Grammy Award-winning session guitarist Brent Mason. The album, along with the "Snow Angels" single, are available on iTunes and Amazon.com, among other music retailers.
