Maine Prep (http://www.maineprep.com) will open a new regional office on January 1, 2013, at 778 Main Street, South Portland, Maine. The office, Maine Prep South, will house Maine Prep’s SAT preparation classes and private tutoring for all SAT and ACT test dates.
Maine Prep’s first official 16-hour SAT course at Maine Prep South, which will be taught by Master Coach Claire Hirschmann, meets from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for eight Wednesdays, January 9 through March 6, to prepare students for the March 9, 2013 SAT.
With the expansion into South Portland, the company now teaches SAT classes in twelve different locations in Maine from Bangor to Bethel to Kennebunkport and employs a faculty and staff of fourteen.
Maine Prep South will offer a slate of SAT classes and private tutoring for high school students in the greater Portland area, including Scarborough, Gorham, Westbrook, South Portland, Windham, and Cape Elizabeth. The faculty features Maine Prep master coaches Jessica Kaplan, Kathryn Toppan, Sean Lent, Claire Hirschmann, and Susan Thombs.
Stanley Kaplan master instructor and trainer of new teachers Jack Mahoney founded Maine Prep in 2002 to help Maine students raise their SAT and ACT scores, boost their admissions chances, and qualify for merit scholarships.
