PhantomLink is pleased to announce the release of its Wi-Fi Light as an open-source project. The PhantomLink Wi-Fi Light is a full-color LED electronic candle that can generate any number of colors and patterns, controlled wirelessly from any Wi-Fi networked computer. PhantomLink has prepared a series of videos demonstrating the system's unique capabilities. Visit http://www.phantomlink.com/lab/light.aspx to see the system in action.
Each PhantomLink Wi-Fi Light is battery powered and completely self-contained, making it ideal for creating a stunning multi-color light show that can distributed throughout a room. The control software is easy to use, runs on any Wi-Fi networked computer, and is able to drive up to 20 candles. It can generate numerous effects, as well as provide a sophisticated sequencing environment that can synchronize the candles to a music source.
A complete set of design details and a free download of the control software are available on the PhantomLink website.
PhantomLink.com was originally developed to provide self-monitored security system solutions, but the popularity of the Wi-Fi Light is quickly expanding the scope of the website. PhantomLink.com was developed by and is operated by Phantom Data Services, LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company specializing in advanced website development and web-enabled technologies.
