There are few professions that open as many different doors as graphic design
(PRWEB UK) 10 December 2012
Creative opportunities will arise in a wide range of industries following the launch of MidKent College’s new Graphic Design course.
From web developers to fast food chains, the civil service and everywhere in between, there are few organisations in the world that would not benefit from the expertise of someone capable of bringing words and pictures to life.
And from January 2013, MidKent College’s Medway Campus will be the place for budding graphic designers to take their first steps into a career with endless possibilities.
Nick Sermon – teaching and learning manager for Art & Design – said: “Graphic designers play such an important role in developing the brands and products we use on a daily basis.
“It’s a big area of employment and there are so many industries that need graphic designers. We are confident our new course will give students the start they need to embark on a really exciting career.”
The Level 2 Diploma in Graphic Design covers a wide range of techniques and processes within the profession, including digital art, printmaking, digital photography, typography and more.
Students who enroll in the course will also use the most up-to-date software and hardware to ensure the skills they learn are exactly what employers are looking for.
Nick added: “There are few professions that open as many different doors as graphic design, which is why we are confident this new course will be well received.
“We also plan to launch the next rung on the ladder – the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Graphic Design – next September, to ensure there is a clear route of progression for those enrolled on the course.”
Students interested in enrolling on the Level 2 Diploma in Graphic Design are invited to attend a free taster session, from 10am-12pm on Tuesday, 18 December.
