The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts, in partnership with 96.1 WSRS, are teaming up to break the record for the most Santa hats worn in one location in central New England during the fifth annual production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL on Saturday, December 15 at 7pm.

A Christmas Carol has become a family favorite, and now in its fifth year, we wanted to do something special to commemorate this important milestone.

The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts, along with media partner 96.1 WSRS, are teaming up to break the record for the most Santa hats worn in one location in central New England at its opening night performance of A CHRISTMAS CAROL on Saturday, December 15 at 7pm. Santa hats will be provided by WSRS and distributed to attendees before the performance.

“A Christmas Carol has become a family favorite, and now in its fifth year, we wanted to do something special to commemorate this important milestone,” said executive director Troy Siebels. “It’ll be quite a spectacle looking out into an audience of 2,300 Santa hats!”

The Hanover Theatre’s annual production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, adapted and directed by Siebels, has quickly become a holiday tradition, warming the hearts of many throughout Worcester County with its Broadway quality. This classic tale tells the story of a curmudgeonly miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by the ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Future, hoping to change his destiny and save his soul. This brilliant musical, packed with dazzling effects, timeless music, colorful costumes, lighting and scenery, follows Scrooge through a series of strange and magical journeys, where he ultimately discovers the true spirit of the holiday season.

Full price tickets are $28, $38 and $48, and 50% off for kids and students so the whole family can enjoy. A 10% discount is available for members of The Hanover Theatre, groups of 10 or more, seniors, AAA members and WOO Card holders.
