Rock Wreckognition Invades New York City on December 21

A short time after bringing Brooklyn to the Jersey Shore, the Jersey Shore heads to The Bowery

Known for predominantly holding shows around the Jersey Shore, Rock Wreckognition will be bringing its talents to The Bowery Electric in NYC on Dec. 21 for "Last Chance to Dance! - The Rock Wreckognition End of the World Show."

In early September, Rock Wreckogntion hosted "The Brooklyn Blowout at The Jersey Shore" at Longshots in Waretown, NJ. This show was created boost the fan base of Brooklyn natives I am the Third, Bad Luck and Trouble and Sons of Jove. Now, RW wants to show that they can bring their successful talents outside of their home territory.

Featuring Sons of Jove, Monkeys in the Dark, I am the Third and Thank You Scientist, this show is being billed on two different specialties. Firstly, it is the unofficial sequel to the Brooklyn Blowlout. More importantly, though, it is the preview to Rock Wreckognition's upcoming 2013 tour.

Hosted by Dolla Bil and sponsored by Rock Wreckognition and Hydro Graphic Apparel, "Last Chance to Dance!" is on Dec. 21 at The Bowery Electric in NYC. Must be 21 and up with ID to enter. The cover charge will be $8.

About the bands:

Monkeys in the Dark:
MITD have evolved as a band to the point where they've progressed to a style that can only be describe as Funk-Infused Blues and Soul. Starting originally as a trio, MITD is now complete as a six-piece, booking shows all along New Jersey and completing their first EP.

Sons of Jove:
SOJ are a unique blend of old school and new school rock and roll with a hint of reggae style thrown in the mix. With three of the five members being brothers and/or childhood friends, their stage presence is second to none of this year's up and coming bands. Their debut EP "Conceptions" was released earlier this year and is available on iTunes.

I am the Third:
Hailing from Brooklyn, I am the Third busted onto the scene in 2011. Described as "dream rock," this six-piece shows the styles of contemporary tunes like Jason Mraz and Dispatch while bringing the old school flavor of Marvin Gay and Curtis Mayfield.

Thank You Scientist:
Self-described as a "seven-headed monster," TYS is a progressive-rock band from New Jersey. Since coming onto the scene in 2009, they've released a full length album, "Maps of Non-Existent Places" which is available on iTunes and
