In Jan Edwards’ new bookEric the Accidental Hero” (published by Trafford Publishing), an interesting hero comes to save the day for an unsuspecting family.

Raising kids alone is always hard, but three is plain difficult especially when one is driving you to your wits end. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and admit you need help. Enter Eric the monkey. Eric, taking on a strict, motherly quality, has been sent to help get the children under control. With his persistence and unbending will, Eric starts to change the oldest delinquent into a respectable adult.

An excerpt from “Eric the Accidental Hero”:

“As a responsible parent, the onus fell upon Alvira to guide and direct Tobias away from troublesome situations especially as he had been warned and cautioned previously. She’d tried to lay down the law with little success and had no support from her husband. Obviously, Robert and he son thought that any youth of fifteen years was six foot tall and bullet-proof.”

Edwards wants readers to see that everyone has their off days, but they still need to push through and make sure their children are raised with a firm hand. “I want readers to know there is always hope and everyone has different emotions,” says Edwards. “Eric is like that, he has up days and down days, he needs coffee and he sucks his thumb when he is upset, but he has hope, determination and inspiration to get the job done.”
