I explain how and why property transactions don’t have to begin and end with the banks
(PRWEB) December 12, 2012
The just-published January 2013 edition of ‘Money Magazine’ has listed the ten most popular finance book titles released in the last twelve months. Real estate investment specialist, Rick Otton, has been rewarded for his creative thinking by having his book ‘How To Buy A House For A Dollar’ included in the list.
The list was compiled in conjunction with one of Australia’s leading booksellers, Dymocks.
“We are naturally delighted to see How To Buy A House For A Dollar included in the list” said Mr Otton. “The main objective in writing the book was to show everyday Australians - and others around the world - that there are many ways to buy and sell real estate.”
“I explain how and why property transactions don’t have to begin and end with the banks - and once people grasp this basic fact and begin to think creatively, they find themselves able to embrace the strategies that I put forward” he continued.
Mr Otton believes that aspects of the traditional property system in many countries, including Australia, New Zealand and the UK, are outdated, and no longer work for the average person. First home buyers, and the self-employed, in particular, struggle to meet the deposit and proof of income requirements of the banks.
“I make no apologies for sharing strategies that exclude bank involvement - strategies that help more people become home owners, and give sellers options to get the price they want in a challenging real estate market” said Mr Otton. “And for my book to be selected by Dymocks and Money Magazine as one of the best for 2012 is truly gratifying.”
