We want to assist those who are physically, mentally or financially unable to handle the enormous burden of restoring what was lost on their own.

Daniel P. Buttafuoco, senior partner and founder of Buttafuoco & Associates, a law firm dedicated to supporting local charitable causes, today announced the launch of Operation ReBuild HOPE, a community-based fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy relief. On Saturday, December 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 100 volunteers will gather at 362 Stewart Avenue (and Emma Street) to collect monetary and in-kind gifts to support Long Island residents severely affected by the devastating super storm. Daniel Buttafuoco will contribute the lead gift of the campaign with a donation of $10,000 as well as fund all expenses related to the day’s event.

New York City residents are invited to come out and support their neighbors on the grounds of Bethpage Assembly of God, in Bethpage, Long Island. Live bands will be on hand to perform as volunteers accept donations from the public. Suggested in-kind gifts include: food, clothing, toys, cleaning supplies, bedroom furniture and gift cards. Supplies for those in urgent need will be made available at the event and applications for financial assistance will be accepted. There will be a children’s station featuring free face painting and photo-ops with Santa Claus, a gift-wrapping station, and free refreshments.

“Our main objective is to provide immediate relief to Sandy victims via much-needed supplies and home restoration while connecting them with local churches that can provide long-term guidance,” said Daniel Buttafuoco. “We want to assist those who are physically, mentally or financially unable to handle the enormous burden of restoring what was lost on their own.”

Buttafuoco & Associates is committed to providing immediate assistance to those most devastated by the storm. To date, over $100,000 in aide has been collected and distributed to Hurricane Sandy survivors. For more information, visit Godisable.org.
