J. Patrick Homes Joins Barrington Kingwood Builder Line-up

Building and development activity are flourishing in the luxury, master-planned community of Barrington Kingwood, a private 200-acre, gated neighborhood located in the heart of Kingwood. Originally developed in early 2000, Barrington Kingwood was purchased in late 2011 by Forestar, a real estate and natural resources company which owns almost 143,000 acres of real estate in 9 states and 13 markets.

Forestar is proud to announce that J. Patrick Homes will be joining the Barrington Kingwood builder line-up in 2013. J. Patrick will be building on the community’s estate-size home sites, which range from 80 to 100 feet wide. The builder will open a model home in the Spring of 2013.

Barrington Kingwood held a grand opening in September, celebrating the addition of Darling Homes and a new furnished model home to the building program, which also includes Toll Brothers. J. Patrick Homes expands Barrington’s builder program and offers home buyers more variety. Darling Homes is building patio style homes on 65’ home sites, priced from the $290s. Toll Brothers offers luxury single-family homes on mainly 70’ home sites with prices starting in the upper $300s. Once J. Patrick completes their model home, four furnished models will be open daily in Barrington Kingwood.

Surrounded by the Lakes Course of the renowned Kingwood Country Club, Barrington Kingwood boasts some of the last remaining home sites in all of Kingwood. “We have a variety of lot sizes, which means home buyers have a great deal of choice in different home styles here in Barrington Kingwood,” according to Forestar Development Director Justine Klinke, who is responsible for bringing Darling Homes and J. Patrick into Barrington Kingwood.

Since closing on the property last year, Forestar has invested over half a million dollars in redevelopment improvements in Barrington Kingwood. Improvements include additional landscaping work, reforestation, completion of the neighborhood’s utilities, resurfacing of trails, build out of incomplete retaining walls around the community, and the addition of a park/gazebo area to the neighborhood. “Barrington Kingwood is an absolutely beautiful place to call home,” according to Klinke.

The Manor House, which is an elaborate 18,000 square foot community clubhouse, is an impressive part of the Barrington Kingwood lifestyle which includes a resort-style infinity edge pool, outdoor hot tub, tennis court, fitness room, media center, billiards room, Wi-Fi, and playscapes. Forestar has an onsite property manager in place and the community’s Manor House is now open 7 days a week, with the Fitness Room open from 5 am to midnight for resident use.

Barrington Kingwood is located across the street from baseball and soccer fields, horse stables, the Kingwood FFA barn, the boat ramp into Lake Houston, Deer Ridge Park, and just a quick bike ride to Starbucks, Carrabba’s Italian Grille and a variety of retail shopping.

Forestar currently owns 140 homesites in Barrington Kingwood and expects lot sales to be complete by 2017.
