Razorfish, one of the world’s fastest growing digital and technology agencies, today announced they have hired Samantha Starmer, 42, and Jason Goldberg, 44, as Vice President of Experience and Vice President of Strategy, respectively, for Razorfish’s Commerce Practice. Starmer and Goldberg, who are both based in Chicago and will report to the practice’s Senior Vice President Paul do Forno, are the newest additions to the agency’s growing global discipline, which in the last six months has won accounts such as Uniqlo, HSN and Sephora. Razorfish was also recognized as a strong performer in commerce services in the Forrester Wave™ earlier this year.
Starmer has 15 years of customer-centric experience and most recently served as Director of eCommerce Customer Experience at REI, a leading national outdoor retail co-op. There, she was responsible for creating and incubating user experience, interaction design, information architecture and experience strategy teams. Starmer previously led large, customer-facing programs from strategy through design and execution at Microsoft and Amazon.
Goldberg has over 20 years’ experience in shopping marketing and comes from CrossView, Inc., a provider of cross-channel commerce solutions for B2B and B2C companies. At CrossView, he served as Vice President of Strategy and Customer Experience, leading a team of strategists and designers who enabled cross-channel solutions for leading clients. Through this and other previous positions, Goldberg has served as a principal customer experience architect for companies such as Best Buy, Levi Strauss & Co., Sony, Microsoft and more.
