They must come together as a whole to face the biggest mystery of their lives
Tempe, AZ (PRWEB) December 18, 2012
With her children grown up and moving on with their life, JC Brennan was finally able to turn her attention back towards her dream of publishing a book. “A Fine Line: The Beginning” (published by AuthorHouse) is her dream realized.
William Thomas Healthaway II is a Union solider who is struggling to survive through the battle at Pickett's Mill. He is joined by many interesting and unique individuals along the way. As they travel together, strengthening their bonds, each individual begins to see that the war is less complicated and demanding when compared to the experiences they face. “They must come together as a whole to face the biggest mystery of their lives,” says Brennan, “who they really are and their history.”
An excerpt from “A Fine Line”:
“The men were a little more than exhausted, but the 23rd Battalion was prepared and eager to do their duty as soldiers and lay down their lives for the freedom of men and women they had never met. One of the men, a soldier for the Union, was a part of a chain reaction that would take place with him living through this horrid battle. The men did not just have to live through the battles with the blue fire from the muskets and the canons that barraged down on them; they also had to live through all the disease, lack of food, and poor conditions of the camps and field hospitals.”
Brennan hopes that her book allows readers to escape their reality. “I want readers to go into the lives of the crew and experience their trials and tribulations as they realize no matter what fate awaits us, it is still up to us to choose a path,” explains the author.
