THREE RIVERS, Calif. (PRWEB) December 13, 2012
In her new book, “Ranger: The Little Horse with the Big Heart” (published by AuthorHouse), Christy Wood brings to life the story of a little horse that triumphed over all the obstacles in his life with enduring love for his owner.
“Be prepared for a tug on your heart from Ranger, the little horse with the big heart,” says Wood.
During a dark, cold winter storm Ranger, a chestnut colt, is born. This beginning sets the tone for Ranger’s attitude and survival in all aspects of his life. Wood, a young and upcoming horse trainer, is drawn to Ranger when she first sees him. The two perfect a bond of love and loyalty over 32 adventurous years in California.
An excerpt from “Ranger”:
“With all the twists and turns, I soon lost sight of her. I turned around and froze in my tracks. Panic was filling the air. Christy quickly organized the other riders and had them move up the trail to a clearing ahead.
Then she asked her friend, Lynn, to help gather all the lead ropes the riders had with them. They were hoping that when all the ropes were tied together, they would be long enough to reach the fallen horse and rider.”
