Carfrogger empowers everyone out there to give their cars a personal touch while at the same time protecting it from scratches and damages alike.
Berlin/Munich, Germany (PRWEB) December 13, 2012
Carfrogger is an online platform that enables creative customers to individualise their vehicles according to their needs and tastes by the means of an online configurator. Car wrapping design means not only being able to select the colour of your choice but also to embellish with patterns, logos, text as well as with ornamental effects. Customers can either create their own designs or choose a design created by other enthusiastic Carfrogger users. Once the decision has been made, the personalised car wrap can be purchased directly from the platform and is applied to the car at a local Carfrogger wrap shop.
Anton von Rueden, founder and CEO of Carfrogger GmbH, is convinced that the concept will be successful: „With its individualized car wraps, Carfrogger empowers everyone out there to give their cars a personal touch while at the same time protecting it from scratches and damages alike. The opportunity to create your own designs online opens up completely new avenues for car enthusiasts and provides our customers with endless possibilities in order to realize the car they have always imagined. Thus Carfrogger stands, in a manner of speaking, for democratizing the individualization of cars all over the world! “
To mark the pre-launch of the platform that Carfrogger has developed and designed in co-operation with the Munich-based innovation agency and co-investor HYVE, Carfrogger is kicking off on 22 November 2012 with an international design contest called „Deutschland wrappt!“. The main objective of this contest is to involve the Carfrogger community in the creation of functional, creative and unique designs that are meant to change and revolutionise the look of Germany’s streets.
Calling on all designers, students, car enthusiasts, passionate car wrappers or individuals simply interested in the world of Carfrogger, the contest - online at http://www.carfrogger.de/deutschland-wrappt - gives everyone the chance to be part of the Carfrogger community right from the start by submitting designs in three differing categories. Of course it is the users' decision whether they prefer to use the Carfrogger configurator, apply their own design skills or upload a photo of an existing wrapped car. Additionally, all designs can be viewed, evaluated, commented and even shared with the community, as well as with their personal network.
In order to join the community and participate in the contest, users simply need to register on http://www.carfrogger.de. Participants then have until 31 January 2013 to submit their designs – be they created using the Carfrogger configurator, freely created, or photographs. All published designs can be viewed and evaluated by the Carfrogger community. In February 2013 when the contest closes, a jury will pick the final winners in the differing categories and award prizes worth €15,000. Furthermore, the three most active and motivated community members will have the chance to qualify for a „Most Valuable Carfrogger“ title and win one of three brand new Apple iPad minis.
To cut a long story short: Designers, students, car enthusiasts, wrappers and Carfrogger fans alike are now asked to take out their pencils and brushes, be creative and design away the drabness of Germany’s streets.

The "Deutschland wrappt!" Design Contest is sponsored by the wrap film manufacturer 3M.
