Together, Netsmart and CRI have a great opportunity to help providers better leverage the data they collect to dramatically advance the quality and accuracy of care.
Overland Park, Kan. and Nashville, Tenn. (PRWEB) December 12, 2012
Netsmart, the leading provider of clinical solutions for health and human services organizations nationwide, and Centerstone Research Institute (CRI), an award-winning not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality and effectiveness of behavioral healthcare through the integration of research and technology, today announced a partnership to combine their collective knowledge and capabilities to help behavioral health providers enhance patient care, reduce costs and improve their operations.
The initial phase of the partnership will entail Netsmart making Enlighten Analytics, a business intelligence tool developed by CRI, available to Netsmart clients nationwide. Enlighten Analytics is an innovative, interactive, easy-to-use platform specifically designed for behavioral health organizations. It captures revenue, cost, productivity and quality outcomes data and reporting in simple-to-interpret charts and graphs, effectively turning the massive amounts of complex data that behavioral health providers collect into meaningful, actionable information.
The Netsmart and CRI strategic partnership will further extend Enlighten Analytics’ reach among other electronic health record (EHR) platforms by publishing protocols for interoperability with the Enlighten Analytics system. Netsmart is the exclusive distributor of Enlighten Analytics for CRI.
Netsmart and CRI also will collaborate on several initiatives to advance patient care, including the integration of predictive modeling algorithms in clinical care and the promotion of innovative ways to leverage EHR transaction data to enhance clinical decision support and improve the accuracy and efficacy of patient diagnosis and treatment.
“Centerstone Research Institute has a unique mix of expertise in research, analytics and evaluation, and is at the forefront of helping behavioral healthcare providers improve care,” said Michael Valentine, chief executive officer, Netsmart. “Together, Netsmart and CRI have a great opportunity to help providers better leverage the data they collect to dramatically advance the quality and accuracy of care.”
“Netsmart has an unmatched track record of helping healthcare organizations of all sizes transform the care they provide,” said Tom Doub, Ph.D., CEO, Centerstone Research Institute. “By combining the strengths of Netsmart with the strengths of CRI, we can help healthcare providers offer more efficient and effective care. While CRI is focused on the behavioral healthcare sector, our partnership with Netsmart has great potential to improve the entire healthcare system on a broader basis, across specialties.”
