Carrollwood Day School's Thespian Troupe 7235 Wins One of the Top 5 Performances in District 9 One Act Competition

CDS Troupe 7235.

Although the CDS Troupe 7235 is very small, they came out a big winner in this years District 9 One Act Competition!

CDS Troupe 7235 won Best Student Director for the second year in a row, with this year's honor going to MaryCate Pittman. Nicole Catania was also recognized for her role and received an All Star Cast Award.

The highlight of the night was when the top five One Acts of the Districts were announced. The top five performances are invited to perform at the State level for over 8,000 students. This is an amazing opportunity for any school. Bravo to Troupe 7235 for once again being selected to go to States in 2013!
Their production of Christopher Durang’s Medea received a Superior rating and advanced to the next level. They will be going to States along with thespians from Alonso, Steinbrenner, Wharton, and Riverview high schools. Not bad for a troupe with only 17 students. Congratulations to the members of Troupe 7235 and to Ms. GH for all their hard work.
