Bel Furniture, one of the fastest growing furniture stores in Texas, is pleased to partner with KRBE Radio, 104.1 FM to sponsor an Awards Breakfast for The Roula & Ryan Show’s “Christmas Wish,” an annual holiday charity campaign on KRBE Radio. Together, Bel Furniture and 104.1 KRBE will be awarding $1,004 dollars to 7 very special families who have suffered hardships this year. Five local charities will also each be receiving a $1,004 donation from KRBE and Bel Furniture.

Since November 26, 2012, Bel and The Roula & Ryan Show have encouraged KRBE listeners, Bel customers, and Bel employees to submit letters nominating families in need. The deadline for submitting letters of nomination to The Roula & Ryan Show is December 14, 2012. Letters of nomination for a “Last Chance” winner will be accepted through December 20, 2012 at 10 pm at all Houston-area Bel Furniture locations. Official rules can be seen here: http://www.krbe.com.

“We’ve had an incredible response from the community, especially now that Bel is helping out. The letters are so moving to read, and they just keep coming in. Our hearts go out to everyone having a difficult time this winter,” says 104.1 KRBE’s Marketing and Promotions Director, Lesley Brotamonte.

The five “Christmas Wish” winners will be announced at 7 am on The Roula & Ryan Show on KRBE Radio through the week of December 10th, with one winner announced each morning. In addition, one winner will be selected from the KRBE website on December 17, 2012 and one “Last Chance” winner will be selected from among the Bel Furniture store entries after nominations close at their Houston-area locations on December 20, 2012 at 10 pm.

“Partnering with The Roula & Ryan Show of KRBE has been a pleasure for all of us at Bel. The letters are wonderful reminders to us that people really do care about their community, and we can’t wait to read the ones that come in as we get closer and closer to our Awards Breakfast,” says Bel Furniture President, Sid Mollai.

Bel furniture will be hosting a catered Awards Breakfast at their Sugarland location from 9 am to 11 am on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 to honor the winners and their families. KRBE’s Special K will be onsite during the event to help distribute the prizes to the winners, and he will also broadcast live that morning. Charities who are invited to the breakfast to receive a $1,004 donation from KRBE Radio and Bel Furniture include: The Houston Area Women’s Center, the Texas Children’s Hospital, USO—Houston, The Children’s Fund, and Second Mile Mission Center—Stafford. Sid Mollai, owner of Bel Furniture, will present each guest with a Memory Foam Pillow. Bel will award the “Last Chance” winner on December 27th at 2 pm at Bel’s Katy Location.

Bel partners with charity organizations year-round. Bel is currently partnering with the Salvation Army for their Christmas “Angel Tree” program, and with CBS, Univision, ABC, and Kens5-TV in San Antonio for Bel’s annual 12 Days of BELieving, which supplies local families in need with quality home furniture from Thanksgiving through the month of December. This year, Bel also delivered new mattresses to Pathway of Del Rio, an orphanage that shelters children from both sides of the Mexican and U.S. border.

About Bel Furniture :
Bel Furniture, the fastest growing furniture retailer in Texas, first opened its doors in February 2002 in Houston, Texas. Located on the corner of I-45 North and Richey Road, this first retail center has now been serving customers for over 10 years. Bel Furniture has spent the last decade providing customers with quality, affordable furniture and expanding their reach throughout South Texas.

Bel Furniture was originally founded to fill a hole in the home furnishings market; with so many stores offering a small selection of low quality furniture at high prices, the founders were determined to offer people something more. With the wheels set in motion, the first Bel Furniture location finally opened with a simple philosophy in mind; never forget that the customer has a choice in where they do business. At Bel Furniture, the goal is to keep customers at the forefront by delivering great Furniture for Sale, competitive pricing, and exceptional service.

Bel Furniture keeps these values at the forefront by staying family owned and operated, staffed by 350 loyal employees and stocked by Bel Furniture owned factories. By building several factories around the world, Bel Furniture has been able to cut out the middle man, ensuring both high quality and affordable prices are available to customers, including two exclusive lines, the Mollai Collection and the Sara Collection, designed by the owners themselves. The combination of quality, comfort, style, and price is just one factor that sets Bel Furniture apart from the competition and fuels a customer base that grows by 5,000 each month.

Boasting 11 showrooms throughout South Texas, including a state-of-the-art mega showroom in San Antonio, Bel Furniture is poised to expand even further, with a goal of 25 showrooms in Texas over the next five years, as well as additional showrooms in adjacent states.

Bel Furniture also strives to be truly embedded in the surrounding communities. In addition to providing excellent care to customers, Bel Furniture also aspires to improve the lives of those in need. By giving back to the public, the Bel Furniture family extends the founding principles of people-centered service beyond the store.
