There is tremendous opportunity for transformation in the HR technology field, and I am excited to join Gild’s advisory board to help shape the next wave of strategic and technological innovation.

Gild, which brings meritocracy to HR through innovative recruiting technologies, today announced that Tim Stanley, SVP of Enterprise Strategy and Innovation at Salesforce.com, has joined the Gild advisory board.
Tim Stanley’s appointment to Gild’s Advisory Board signals that the HR technology startup continues to attract Blue-Chip caliber expertise dedicated to transforming the Recruiting and Human Resources industry.
“We feel very fortunate to add Tim to our advisory panel,” said Sheeroy Desai, co-founder and CEO of Gild. “ Tim’s experience as an award winning CXO, board member and investor, and his track record leading organizations to significant growth, shows that he understands how to wield strategic hiring as part of a successful business strategy.”
“Human capital management is evolving into a much more strategic business mission than solely a Human Resources function,” said Mr. Stanley. “There is tremendous opportunity for innovation and transformation in the HR technology field, and I am excited to join Gild’s advisory board to help shape the next wave of strategic and technological innovation and change Gild is bringing to the recruiting market.”
In addition to Tim’s current Enterprise Strategy and Innovation focus at Salesforce, he founded and is currently CXO of Tekexecs, a board and executive advisory service and consultancy, and Innovatects, a business innovation and technology incubator. Tim is also an adjunct Professor at the Merage School of Business at the University of California Irvine. Previously, Tim served as Chief Innovation Officer, CIO/CTO and the Senior Vice President of Innovation, Gaming and Technology for Caesars / Harrah’s Entertainment, and in various executive level business, technology, marketing, operations, R&D and consulting roles with Intel, Kimberly Clark, jetBlue, National, USWeb/CKS, Optima/KPMG, and the US Air Force.
A former Information Week’s “Chief of the Year” for his unique Innovation, Business and IT roles and achievements, Stanley has also been recognized as one of InfoWorld’s “Top 25 CTOs,” Interactive Week’s “Top 25 Unsung Heroes of the Internet,” the recipient of CIO’s “100 Innovators Award.” CIO Insight bestowed Stanley with a “Partners in Alignment” award for his successful linkage of business strategy and technology, and he was instrumental in securing Harrah’s “CIO 100” award; Computerworld’s “Best Places to Work in IT” for nine consecutive years; and the American Business Awards “Best MIS & IT Organization.”
“I’ve known and collaborated with Tim for years and greatly respect his unique insights and accomplishments,” said Brad Warga, Senior Vice President for Client Success at Gild. “Tim was instrumental in delivering pioneering business and technology initiatives that enabled Caesars / Harrah’s to become one of the largest casino entertainment companies in the world. His breadth, depth and wealth of expertise in building thriving organizations through customer insights, management expertise and innovative uses of technology and analytics will be essential as we shape Gild’s HR technology offerings to better serve our clients.”
Gild’s advisory board also includes Amelia Merril, VP of Talent Acquisition at RMS; Zach Holman, Developer Advocate at GitHub; Clement Mok, Acclaimed Brand and Design Guru and one of I.D. Magazine’s “40 Most Influential Designers”; Austin Cooke, VP of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition at VistaPrint; and Eric Lane, VP of Talent Acquisition at Juniper Networks and HR/Staffing visionary.
“The breadth of the board members’ collective experience should make it clear that Gild is positioning itself for a period of aggressive expansion within the HR technology space,” added Desai. “Surrounding ourselves with ‘next level’ thinkers from a wide array of industry disciplines will serve us well along this journey.”
The advisory board will be important to Gild as the company continues to develop more tools and services for recruiters and organizations seeking exceptional talent, such as the recently announced Gild Source tech recruitment platform.
