NEW SOUTH WALES, Australia – (December 12, 2012) – Author Romina Betvardeh invites her readers into the unusual life of “Jessica Monie,” an average girl who is confronted by extraordinary circumstances when her friends and family are threatened by strange, supernatural forces. Stalked by eerie apparitions and attacked by unseen assailants, Jessica and her loved ones must unite and fight against the evil that haunts their home.

The story begins when Jessica notices something strange with her neighbor Jan, who sneaks out into the backyard late at night for unknown reasons. Jessica shares her observations with her family, but they think little of it, until Jessica’s mother also notices Jan’s peculiar actions. They find out that Jan has been burying something in the ground, and they unearth a circular piece of metal with strange engravings. Jan angrily confronts Jessica over this, scaring the living daylights out of the young girl. Out of desperation and fear, Jessica attempts to kill herself, but she receives a spiritual encounter during an out-of-body experience, and is saved from her overdose.

Afterwards, a series of paranormal incidents begin occurring in their homes. Jessica is attacked by a ghostly apparition, and the same entity turns one of their neighbors into an incoherent madly screaming wreck. Jessica’s parents conduct their own investigation, and discover that the engraved metal discs are actually objects of black magic. They all realize that the supernatural is actually very real, and that something has to be done before they are all overcome by the malignant forces that have been unleashed by black magic.

Betvardeh weaves a gripping tale of supernatural suspense and horror by placing an everyday family in a truly terrifying scenario. The spine-tingling pages of “Jessica Monie” will definitely keep readers on the edge of their seats.
