The Lt225 and Lt425 were designed for high-speed streaming video and image capture using the latest USB 3.0 technology to ensure the fastest image delivery even at its largest resolution. Image captures can be synchronized using either a hardware or software trigger, and are complemented by 128 MB of onboard memory that is used for frame buffering to guarantee delivery of images. Additional product highlights include: very high frame rates up to 170 fps; 2 and 4 megapixel blur-free global shutter CMOS sensor; new design based on performance and reduced noise electronics; and a robust enclosure with heat dissipation capabilities.

Lumenera has developed proprietary image correction techniques in the Lt camera series to mask defective pixels, improve image uniformity and provide true-to-life color in a consistent and repeatable manner. This is imperative in scientific application performing quantifiable measurements or diagnostics based on subtle distinction color variations, leading to delicate care around the integrity of the image. The advancements in the image correction techniques authenticate the exceptional high quality images.

The Lt camera series are built in the same environment as the INFINITY digital microscopy cameras. Lumenera has gained extensive knowledge in manufacturing sophisticated scientific cameras that are used in microscopy and life sciences applications, and applied this knowledge to its Lt camera series. The scientific-grade option is built under a strictly controlled environment to ensure no visible defects are found in the optical path. This is a key requirement for scientific applications including digital slide scanning and movement analysis. The end result is a high level of product quality, performance repeatability and consistency that is exceptional in the industry.
