Stirling, Scotland (PRWEB UK) 14 December 2012
Partnerships between Scotland and France are nothing new – the “Auld Alliance”, as it’s often known, can be dated back to the 12th Century.
Now the Auld Alliance is set to leap into the 21st Century, with a new e-commerce partnership deal between French retailing giant Fnac, and Stirling-based marketplace management experts Seller Dynamics.
Fnac is a retail colossus by any measure – with a turnover of €4.5 billion, more than 150 stores across Europe, and 18 million customers in 7 countries including France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland, and Brazil, they are a tour de force to be reckoned with.
Fnac is rated France’s 3rd most favourite brand across all sectors.
Their website Fnac.com has 10 million unique visitors per month and 1 in every 3 French internet users buy on it (Source - Nielsen study 2012). You can find a huge range of products on fnac.com, most notably in books, CDs, DVDs, games, software, consoles, toys, childcare, photographic, computing, electronics, gadgets, office products, home & kitchen goods and household equipment.
Now online retailers across the UK can tap into the massive European and (coming soon) South American reach of Fnac, through a partnership deal between the retailer and leading UK marketplace management experts Seller Dynamics. Fnac Marketplace is now open in France (fnac.com) and Belgium (fnac.be), Spain will be opened in January 2013 (fnac.es) and the other countries will follow.
From now until the end of February 2013, any retailer signing up to use Fnac through Seller Dynamics will enjoy 3 months subscription-free on the marketplace – a saving of €119.70 (over £96 at current exchange rates). They will also save £349 as Seller Dynamics waive their usual marketplace setup fees – making a total saving of nearly £450.
Steve Boland of Seller Dynamics believes this is a fantastic opportunity for UK retailers in particular. “Online sales are booming across the world, and geography is no barrier to making healthy profits. Fnac gives our customers new and existing a great way to reach new markets. At Seller Dynamics, we already have clients selling to Europe and worldwide, gaining customers in the most surprising ways with the most unexpected products. For example, one of our clients has done good business selling BBC DVDs in Europe – with customers in France picking up the classic ‘Allo ‘Allo series, and, amazingly, healthy sales to Germany of the Dad’s Army Complete box set”
Jane Barge, Business Development Manager for Fnac, is in total agreement. “We welcome new sellers from the UK and beyond to join with thousands of sellers already growing their sales through our Marketplace – it is our mission to offer Fnac customers the widest range of the most interesting products from around the world, and we hope this great deal for Seller Dynamics clients old and new will bring new delights to our 18 million customers”
Online retailers, or even “bricks & mortar” retailers, wanting to sell online for the first time in Europe, should contact Seller Dynamics for more information on how to take full advantage of this unrivalled opportunity to access Europe’s online consumers.
