Harrington Group, Inc. is proud to announce that Phil Friday, one of the firm’s Principals and Fire Protection Engineers, has been named Co-Chair of the 9th Annual SFPE Greater Atlanta Chapter Fire Safety Conference Committee. Mr. Friday has over 14 years of experience in the industry and has been a key member of Harrington Group’s team since joining the firm in 2002. His experience includes fire protection system design, building and fire code analysis, fire origin and cause determination, and fire protection system failure analysis. He has previously served as an officer on the Executive Committee of the Greater Atlanta Chapter of SFPE (Society of Fire Protection Engineers) and is also an active member of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), serving as a voting member of the NFPA Hazardous Chemicals Committee. In 2009, he was named as one of Consulting Specifying Engineer magazine’s “40 Under 40”, an award given annually to 40 building industry engineers under the age of 40 who shine in their academic, professional, personal, and community achievements.
The 9th Annual SFPE Greater Atlanta Chapter Fire Safety Conference will be held March 11-13, 2013 at the Gwinnett Center located at 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth, GA. The conference will offer several partial, full, and two-day seminars to choose from and will include important topics such as:
- Principals in Fire Protection Engineering;
- Fire & Evacuation Modeling using Pryrosim (FDS) and Pathfinder;
- Managing Combustible Dust Hazards;
- Continued Evolution of Clean Agent Systems;
