Leading luggage providers, Suitcase.org.uk, have responded to recent data that reveals more Brits than ever are spending their holidays abroad.

ABTA are predicting that 4.25 million British people will spend their Christmas holidays abroad and would rather enjoy sun, sea and sand than rain and freezing temperatures.

The research carried out by travel agent, On the Beach, found that sales for some of Europe’s most popular beach destinations have rocketed by 160% year on year.

The Canaries attracts twice as many Brits as any other holiday destination over Christmas, with temperatures in their twenties during December.

Holidays for Egypt are up 74% on last year, up 72% for the Spanish Costas and up 68% for Portugal. Of those booking holidays, 42% are couples while 27% of families with young children have booked a holiday abroad.

For those planning to enjoy some winter sun and escape the pressures of the festive season, investing in the right luggage is essential. Many holidaymakers will need extra room to pack Christmas presents to open on Christmas Day while they’re away.
