Parents for Choice in Education presented Imagine Learning with an Advocate for Innovation in Education award at their 3rd Annual Education Symposium at the Grand America Hotel on December 13, 2012 in Salt Lake City. This is the inaugural year for these awards and Imagine Learning is a 2012 recipient in the Company category.

Parents for Choice in Education is dedicated to ensuring every child has access to a quality education by empowering parents, increasing choice, and promoting innovative solutions to Utah’s educational challenges. Featured speakers Dr. Jay P. Greene and Dr. Matthew Ladner addressed education policy and advocated the importance of student success.

Founded in 2004, Imagine Learning has delivered gold-standard language and literacy instruction to hundreds of thousands of English language learners, struggling readers, students with disabilities, and early childhood education students through its flagship software product, Imagine Learning. The company has received numerous awards and recognitions for providing children with access to a quality education, as well as its accelerating business presence.

“We’ve worked hard to build an educational partnership with Utah, making sure our innovative software program is available to every classroom,” said Joe Swenson, Imagine Learning President and CEO. “This statewide availability has enabled schools to meet the individual learning needs of our kids in Utah.”

In order to be selected for this award, the recipient must have played a significant role in bringing about innovation in education as well as shifting the paradigm to a more student-centric focus in K–12 education. Additionally, their actions and work must have contributed substantially to bring about positive outcomes and quality options that meet the individual learning needs of Utah students.
