PBA Applauds Appointment of Judge Cheri Beasley to the North Carolina Supreme Court

The North Carolina Police Benevolent Association was very pleased to learn of the appointment of Judge Cheri Beasley to the North Carolina Supreme Court to replace retiring Justice Patricia Timmons-Goodson.

John Midgette, Executive Director of the North Carolina Police Benevolent Association, said: "We have known Judge Beasley for many years through her extensive service in Fayetteville and since she has served on the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Judge Beasley has earned an extraordinary record as an appellate judge and she was indeed most qualified to fill the seat of retiring Judge Timmons-Goodson. Judge Beasely will be an extensive asset to the Court as she has thorough knowledge of the applicable law and the issues confronting the North Carolina law enforcement community. We are confident that Judge Beasley will fulfill her duties and respect traditional constitutional values."

The North Carolina Police Benevolent Association, Inc. is a division of the Southern States Police Benevolent Association, Inc., a not-for-profit professional organization dedicated to improving the law enforcement profession.
