Video collaboration systems can now utilize the industry’s premier scheduling and management software in parallel with the Vidyo platform
(PRWEB) December 17, 2012
Video Scheduler, an advanced video conference management platform developed by Renovo Software, can now be used to schedule, manage, and automate Vidyo-branded video conferencing systems. The development was driven by Renovo customers deploying Vidyo solutions as well as Vidyo customers seeking a solution for scheduling, automation, and management of their Vidyo infrastructure. “Video Scheduler works with an array of video conferencing hardware, and we are very proud to announce the addition of a major player like Vidyo to that list,” stated Ted Nafzger, Video Scheduler Sales Manager at Renovo Software.
Vidyo’s unique and innovative software-based platform is highly flexible, runs on virtually any computing platform and delivers low latency HD-quality multipoint video conferencing over all networks, to any end-point, without the need for expensive network upgrades. Video collaboration systems can now utilize the industry’s premier scheduling and management software in parallel with the Vidyo platform.
“Vidyo is the first visual communication platform to deliver telepresence quality video conferencing across business, consumer and vertical markets and to provide seamless interoperability between users across disparate markets and applications,” said Ashish Gupta, CMO and SVP of Corporate Development at Vidyo. “Vidyo’s APIs were designed to enable application providers like Renovo to easily integrate and add value to the Vidyo platform bringing best-of-breed solutions to Vidyo customers and expanding business opportunities for our valued development partners.”
Video Scheduler provides Vidyo users with a simple web-based interface for scheduling and automating calls through Vidyo systems and gateways. Cascading is fully supported, and Vidyo recordings can easily be scheduled for any call. All resources scheduled through the system are automatically checked for conflicts, permissions, and capacity configurations. Users and endpoints can be imported en masse directly from the Vidyo directory into Video Scheduler, and all users and endpoints created through Video Scheduler are automatically populated into the Vidyo Directory. The Renovo platform can also be used to send automated notices; monitor and maintain live network usage; create reports; and manage privileges, access rights, and resource approval.
This duo of powerful platforms will serve to enhance the collaboration and resource sharing possibilities that are at the core of video conferencing itself. Features like Video Scheduler’s event offering allow users within a network to create, search, discuss, suggest, or sign up for classes, seminars, and other events across the network. Scheduling is further streamlined by empowering users to schedule conferences as regularly recurring or with multiple instances at irregular intervals. Old or existing reservations can be copied, and individual instances can be edited within multiple and recurring reservations. Administrators can even set up custom time blocks and durations for users to choose from during the scheduling process.
